Alessandro Sgarito

Alessandro was born in 1976 in the middle of the Valle Dei Templi in Agrigento, and during his childhood he lived between Trentino and Emilia Romagna. After graduating at the DAMS University of Bologna he moved to Rome, where he is currently based.

He is a freelance storyteller, he studied photography at the school "Officine Fotografiche" in Rome and "John Kaverdash" in Milan; he has worked on many social reportages, advertising and communication campaigns.

 In 2014 he won first prize at the National Geographic Italy competition, in the “people” category. Over the years he has obtained great results in other national and international competitions such as the Siena International Photo Awards, Smithsonian Photo Contest and Hamdan International Photography Award.

 His passion and love for photography Is actually focused on the human figure and the study of it’s surrounding environment.
